About Aubree

My first tutoring “job” was in 1st grade. My family friend, in my grade was struggling with something.. I can’t even remember what! Most likely addition haha! I remember going over to her house and sitting at the table helping her, while out parents talked! After that day, she never needed help again, she understood as soon as I had explained it to her as another kid, and not an adult with a very different point of view than a child. I remember in 5th grade, when covid hit I would FaceTime my friends, they would always come to me for work, and I realized I really liked tutoring and helping people out. Then I found this website, and for the past 3 years I’ve been tutoring! I’ve helped countless people on this website, and although I am also a kid I think it helps other kids to see a different point of view than as their teachers. I can explain mathematics in a way they will understand it, because that is also how I understand it!

About the lesson

First, let me introduce myself, my name is Aubree. I feel that when tutoring you need to get to know whoever you are teaching. This helps me understand how your brain works, and i can find the best techniques to help you out! For some, it is being very straight forward, letting you know exactly what to do with charts, graphs, etc, which others it is visualizations, Cindy has 7 apples, she takes away 4, etc. Some people need to be encouraged, others need to know if they mess up its alright, while some need pressure on them to do their best! Of course these are very simple examples, but I can teach all levels, and ages, I’m happy to help whoever needs it! I truly care about my clients and want to build relationships with them to further help them, and I want them to have an Amazon future, this is why I do what I do.
