About Mia

I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand a subject I am so passionate about. Having recently completed my Higher English and HND in Media and Communications, I know how overwhelming exams and coursework can feel. I aim to create a supportive, relaxed environment where students feel confident to ask questions and learn at their own pace. Teaching allows me to share my passion for media and communication, while also helping others succeed and grow. It’s incredibly rewarding to see a student gain clarity and start believing in their abilities—with the right guidance, that progress is possible.

About the lesson

I establish a calm, encouraging environment where children feel heard and secure. I simplify difficult concepts and customise each lesson to meet the needs of each student by using concrete examples and understandable techniques, enabling them to succeed. Sessions can be anywhere from 30 to 150 minutes long dependent on what you need! Our first session will be you helping me understand your learning style, and establishing what you already know. We will create a manageable schedule together, to avoid overwhelm. I will ensure by the end of each lesson you have a clear and strong understanding of what we have covered. For National 5 and Higher Media Studies students. (Similar courses can be discussed and will be considered on an individual basis).
