About Maxine
I was a sound and lighting tech for 14 years till 2004.
I am Qualified cert IV massage therapist 2008.
I am Qualified in Knoff Yoga Level 3 200Hrs 2017 and Yoga Synergy 200h 2016. 5 day workshop with Maty Ezraty, Peter Sanson.
Experience in Iyengar 4 years, Ashtanga, Kriya Yoga, Shadow Yoga, Calligraphy Yoga,
I have been teaching in Belgrave area 3 years at a local Hall and for a year at the Belgrave Medical Clinic were I hire a room. I also teach from my home studio at Belgrave lake park and at festivals. I enjoy working in small groups and one on one. I hope to create more opportunities to teach over the coming year.
I love teaching and get ever more back from my own practice. I am living more fully, overcoming fears and anxiety to develop my self expression in singing, playing guitar and performing, song writing, accepting my needs and responsibilities, new experiences, meeting new people forming new relationships of depth, reaching out easily for support.

As a student of Yoga for 20 years I have experienced many styles of Yoga and have benefitted greatly from all of them. At the same time
I felt a lot of disappointment, distrust and hopelessness inside myself along the way that I had to work through.
It took me along to feel real and feel my body deeply. To appreciate myself and accept more of and for myself. I'm so glad I did.
What have I learnt " It can take some serious investment to learn how to how to feel ok inside, but it is worth it, I am, You are too".
I have been committed to taking responsibility for my own health,
well -being and fitness of which yoga has been part and I am able and would like to support you where ever you are in your life particularly if life is a struggle, you feel stuck or you are going through big life changes.
My classes are designed with each person's needs and goals in mind.
If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, have an eating disorder, chronic fatigue or PTSD I can guide and support you and together we can establish a Yoga practice which is trauma sensitive to help.
The practice of yoga is not to be achieved but to be experienced and embodied fully in each moment. My philosophy 'be your own best friend" , "put your own air mask on first" and "try new things".
Each lesson together is an opportunity to explore and learn about ourselves and to give our self much needed time and attention.
On the Yoga journey we see and feel and grow by gathering self knowledge
and the ability to find peace comfort and vitality to enhance our well being and develop emotional resilience.
