About Rick
I'm a (somewhat) fresh UNCG grad in Biochemistry. I've demonstrated mastery in enzyme mechanisms, and know how to drill the complicated organic stuff into memory. I've tutored general chemistry, algebra, and geometry, and have worked as a chemist for law enforcement, pharmaceuticals, and personal products.

I like to begin by watching the student solve the problem. In math, it's common to be missing a core skill (maybe you missed a class, or learned it from a clueless substitute, etc.) and now that you're supposed to build on that missing skill it's a struggle. I'm very good at finding the missing links. I'm also big on finding better ways to remember things besides just boring repetition, a weird dance here, a goofy example there. Reading can be the worst sometimes, but learning is beautiful. I prefer being in contact with your teacher to obtain your exact curriculum, and (if applicable) parents/guardians so I can track progress, and if needed, give a little push to look at the practice problems.

Details
I've led a few study groups in the past, and can offer a discounted rate. $25 for 2 students, $35 for 3 students, or $40 for 4 students. Students must all be from the same class. With 4 people, one person is getting in for free. Maximum 4 people though; anything more and my personal attention gets too divided and it's basically a small class.
