About Adrian
I am a current medical (MD) student at Queen's University, after having graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, specializing in human physiology. I have over 2 years of research lab experience at the Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto), and lab teaching (for new undergrad students, mostly) was embedded within this experience. This experience, along with my current medical education and previous undergrad, gives me a solid base of medical science knowledge which I would love to share with students. I have tutored privately (mainly high school and university science, but also some math) in various contexts for 4 years, including with the well-known Saturday Program at UofT. Outside of science, I am a certified and active match official instructor with Ontario Soccer, since 2022. Teaching there has given me significant experience working one-on-one with high school and university students from all walks of life.

Students are the focal point of every discussion when I teach. Still being a student, I closely understand that teaching works best when tailored to a student's individual needs and learning style. As such, when I work with students, I strive to quickly get to know them and where their needs are - as well as how they learn. As such, my methodology involves preparedness (for both the student and the content they want to learn/improve) and flexibility during the lesson. Lessons may involve a more structured overview of a topic, example problems/questions, or unstructured Q/A - just to name a few possibilities. Afterwards, I ensure I take concrete feedback after every lesson, to ensure I can adjust personally to best meet the needs of my students.
