About Anh
I am a Mathematics student at Queen’s University with a unique journey that helps me connect with students on a deeper level. I did not always enjoy math—in fact, I struggled with it and even disliked it in high school. Over time, I learned how to truly understand it, which completely changed my perspective.
When I entered university, I faced a new challenge: math became much more abstract and difficult. I found myself struggling again, but through persistence and the right approach, I was able to master these concepts and develop a strong appreciation for higher-level mathematics.
This experience allows me to understand exactly how students feel when they are confused or overwhelmed. I am patient, non-judgmental, and focused on helping you build confidence step by step. My goal is not only to help you improve your grades, but also to help you genuinely understand and feel more comfortable with math.

I am a Mathematics student at Queen’s University offering tutoring for IB Mathematics as well as first- and second-year core math courses (including calculus, linear algebra, and introductory proofs/analysis). My teaching approach focuses on building deep understanding rather than memorization. I break down complex concepts into clear, logical steps and adapt my explanations to match each student’s learning style.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of key concepts, followed by guided problem-solving where I walk you through methods step by step. I then support you as you practice independently to ensure you can apply the ideas with confidence. For IB students, I also focus on exam strategies, question patterns, and time management to help maximize your score.
What sets me apart is my ability to make abstract concepts intuitive and manageable. I emphasize clarity, structure, and patience, helping students not only improve their grades but also build strong, lasting foundations.
My lessons are ideal for IB students (SL/HL) and first- or second-year university students in math or related programs who want to strengthen their understanding, keep up with coursework, or prepare for exams.
