About Ted
- Raised in Lille, France close to the Belgium border.
- Started school in France at the age of 7 attending elementary, and eventually two years in a French Lycee before returning to the US.
- Continued my French studies in both a bachelor's program and as a graduate student.
- Traveled back to France several times since then as well as most of Europe.
- My father was a missionary and took me on many trips to many French towns, museums and villages to develop my appreciation for the French culture

The lesson plans depend upon the student's level and objectives. All lessons are taught primarily in French with few English intercessions. The beginning lessons start with basic grammar and vocabulary focusing on the spoken word supported by basic images. If desired, the student can select the text book they are using in school. Or the student can choose to focus on basic language skills to order dinner, ask for the check or directions and so on. Every lessons ends with a summary and is supplemented by a simple test at the end of each session to validate the student's progress. All courses are taught online using Zoom or comparable software.
