About Pratyush

Hi! I’m PRATYUSH SAHOO, a passionate and results-driven Chemistry educator with a proven track record of transforming how students experience science. I hold a B.Tech degree from NIT Rourkela and a BS from IIT Madras, two of the most prestigious institutes in India.

I secured 98.5+ percentile in Chemistry in the highly competitive JEE Examination, taken by over a million students annually. Over the past 5 years,

When you start teaching your student, you will find that your students have to follow an already set routine, as well as a teacher whose behavior is predictable for them. On the other hand, you will work differently in ways that may be contrary to their normal teacher. Students will not be happy with this, so pushback is unavoidable.

Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
Teaching has been my passion and professionally I been doing it since 2018.
I was the child who struggled enough to be the topper of my school. In that way, I met many teachers and extracted my own secret formulae which I share with my students so they will fall in love with the subject, and excel in it. Moreover, the world of chemistry always fascinated me, so I decided to teach in this field.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
During my learning days at school and college, I always felt there is a void that needs to be filled in the field of teaching. I found many knowledgeable teachers, but they were unable to teach properly. I always wanted to solve this issue so I decided to teach. I am happy that I have made many students fall in love with the subject that they hated the most.
How does your work help society?
I am able to build the future stakeholders of this country and world. I am proud that I am a part of their journey. I also provide free education to poor children for whom education is a luxury.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
I always see my teachers and parents as my role model. I am what I am because of them. They always inspire me and support me in my work. I have seen how one of my teachers loved to teach and always aspired to be like him.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
Besides teaching, I am an Entrepreneur I help to build business and increase their reach. I love to solve real-world problems with smart solutions. I am also into investing in the STOCK MARKET. Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
When I was a student , I didn't understood chemistry much, I thought I had to mug it up. Everything passed tangentially through my head. Then I met a teacher of chemistry, He was a storyteller, he used to teach every concept of chemistry in form of stories. It was very fun. From that day, my life took a turn. And after that, I loved chemistry more than any other subject.

I too found a student facing the same issue, So I decided to teach him as my sir did to me, and guess that he too started to love the subject, That was the time I thought to share the knowledge with every other child going through that phase of life.
