About Kirann
I have been playing chess since the age of nine and am currently rated 1600, working steadily toward 2000. Alongside my own progress as a player, I have spent the past eight years informally teaching chess to friends and family, which helped me develop a simple, practical, and easy-to-understand way of explaining the game.
I believe chess is like a gym for the brain. It builds focus, patience, and sound decision-making, and I encourage my students to treat it as both a game and a mental training tool.
My coaching emphasizes strong fundamentals, reducing blunders, and improving the overall thinking process, rather than memorizing moves. I maintain a patient and supportive approach in every session, making sure each concept is clearly understood before moving forward.
My goal is simple: to help you enjoy chess, build lasting confidence, and steadily improve your rating.

Most beginners don't struggle in chess because they lack talent — they struggle because they don't know what to focus on. My approach is simple, practical, and designed to help you improve quickly, without confusion or unnecessary theory.
In my classes, we focus on real improvement, not just information:
Learn how to stop blundering pieces and start playing with confidence
Build strong fundamentals in tactics, calculation, and simple endgames
Understand why moves are played, instead of memorizing openings
Analyze your own games to identify recurring mistakes and fix them faster
To keep learning engaging, I use real examples from top-level chess, including ideas inspired by players like Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura, along with simplified concepts drawn from classic chess resources. This helps you grasp strong ideas clearly, without feeling overwhelmed.
Every student receives a personalized plan based on their level (0–1000), combining puzzles, game reviews, and step-by-step guidance tailored to how they learn best.
My goal is simple: make chess enjoyable, practical, and results-driven, so you can start winning more games and steadily watch your rating climb.
