About Eric
Eric is a passionate pianist and teacher based in Richmond, fluent in both English and Mandarin. He has a strong foundation in the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM); moreover, he has been a teacher assistant for piano, theory and history since the age 13. He currently has RCM elementary (beginners - level 4) and intermediate (level 5 - level 8) certificate for piano pedagogy. Additionally, he is only one test away from receiving my advanced (level 9 - level 10) certificate for piano pedagogy. He plans to one day be able to inspire future generations in the musical education field, hoping to be able to motivate students in pursuing their dreams and achieve anything they do. His extensive teaching experience spans a broad range of topics, including academic tutoring, music theory, harmony, history, and piano. Eric’s dedication to his craft and his students drives him to foster both skill and passion in every lesson.

Eric, an RCM-certified piano teacher, is dedicated to guiding students through every stage of their musical journey. His lessons span all levels, focusing on developing strong foundations in sight-reading, memorization, and improvisation. Whether students aim to play for enjoyment or prepare for RCM exams, Eric’s teaching is tailored to their individual goals and passions. Eric offers beginner-friendly piano lessons which focuses on building strong foundations in reading music and technique for ages 5-13.
