I earned my degrees from Jacksonville University, Jacksonville, Florida. I am State of Florida Department of Education Professional Educator. I have my state of Florida certification since 2013.
I am very passionate in reading. I have taught pull out groups in first grade and fourth grade. I taught students with IEPs and needed extra assistance in reading in elementary grades. All children can read and excel but each child in unique.
Growing up I was a struggling reader and by third grade was considered to have a learning disability in reading. Come to find out I didn't but I did need a special teacher who took the time to teach me differently from the norm. A child needs to feel comfortable and have confidence then they will soar.
I am employed by VIPKid as an Online ESL Teacher.

My teaching method is to find out the fundamentals my students have and go from there. Each student is unique and requires different ways to teach. I use verbal, written and kinesthetic forms of teaching. The first lesson will be about engagement. What engages my student? To start reading you have to be interested. I choose passages of interest to reflect my individual students.
Each lesson will include vocabulary, passage of reading, phonic skills and comprehension. Student will not necessarily have "homework" from me besides to continue reading. For my regular students I encourage them to keep a reading log.

Lessons do not need to be an hour in length.
30 minute lesson = $15 dollars
I as the teacher will provide materials on top of what the student provides from their home teacher at the school they attend.
