About Christien
With six years of experience in instructional and curriculum development support, I am passionate about empowering student learners with diverse backgrounds and needs to achieve their academic and career goals. I am a 1st Generation immigrant who graduated from a university, an Educational Advocate, and an Adjunct Professor at The College of Southern Nevada (CSN), I facilitate both in-person and e-learning classes, providing personalized support and mentoring to low-income, at-risk, and special needs students.
I hold a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction, and I leverage data analytics and Learning Management System (LMS) platforms to monitor and enhance students’ performance and understanding, and to tailor my teaching strategies accordingly. I am bilingual in English and Tagalog, and I have strong skills in communication, time management, and relationship building. I am committed to providing educational excellence and inspiring students to pursue lifelong learning.

Currently, I am an adjunct professor teaching Reading and Writing to students who are planning on taking their GED or High School Equivalence Test. My students' post-test scores after they finished a ten-week class with me score extremely well. I have a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction and hold a TESOL certificate.
