About Brittany
Dr. Brittany Giles is a professional bassoonist and passionate color guard educator based in Houston, TX. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Dr. G believes every student, regardless of background, should have the ability to achieve any of their dreams and actively works to provide such spaces for all of her students. As a private teacher, she provides an individualized curriculum for each student to attain their highest potential. Her private students have successfully auditioned into numerous honor bands, including but not limited to TMEA Region and Area ensembles, KMEA High School All-State, and KBO Middle School All-State.

I help middle and high school bassoonists craft their own musical voice, build well-rounded technique and perform confidently. In working with my students, I have helped them to build a strong technical foundation on the instrument, a practice routine with personalized strategies, and confidence in stylistic ability and expression.
