About Gianna

Precision in hand position and posture creates the foundation for every piece I teach. I integrate grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity alongside music theory and sight transposition to keep your practice grounded. My work with students aged 6 through adult draws on my MMus from USC Thornton to ensure clarity.

Techniques for memorization and hand independence allow for deeper engagement with both classical repertoire and pop styles. Jazz improvisation and accompaniment skills bring a refreshing variety to my home studio in Washington DC. Seeing a student master a challenging passage is one of the most rewarding parts of my day.

About the lesson

How does it feel to finally sit at the keys and remember why you started playing all those years ago? Starting with an 8.0 rating for clarity, I provide a short recorded playback of each session so students can review at home.

These recordings provide an ongoing reference for the technical adjustments. My 13 years of experience inform the calm and structured environment I maintain for every student. You will find that my conservatory training helps simplify difficult movements into manageable steps without any unnecessary pressure. Expect to leave with a clear plan for your week and a recording that captures every nuance of our conversation.
