About Gabriel
Teaching is something I have wanted to do for a long time. Before moving to the United States, I was actually planning to become a teacher full-time. Life took me in a different direction, but I still really enjoy helping people learn.
I am a native French speaker and I have a degree in History from Aix-Marseille University in France. I also had some experience tutoring other students during university.
I know that, for a student, having an extra lesson after a full day at school is not always something to look forward to! That is why I try to make my lessons interesting and enjoyable while still making sure we get the work done. I like to have a clear plan for each lesson, but I am also happy to adapt if something isn't working or if the student needs more time on a particular subject.
For French, we can work on whatever the student needs, whether it is grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, conversation, or simply becoming more comfortable with the language. For History, I can adapt to the student's level and school program.
I would describe myself as friendly, patient, and passionate about what I teach. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. If a student chooses me as their tutor, I will give it my best and do everything I can to help them reach the goals we set together.

Whether you want to improve your French or better understand History, I focus on clear explanations, conversation, practice, and real examples. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace while doing everything I can to help them reach the goals we set together.
