About Roksana

Hi! I’m a friendly and patient GCSE Maths tutor with a strong academic background in maths. I achieved an A in A-level Maths and have always enjoyed helping others understand topics that once felt confusing or intimidating.

I want to teach because I know how frustrating maths can feel when it’s explained too quickly or in a way that doesn’t make sense. I believe that with the right explanation and enough time, everyone can improve their maths ability. I enjoy breaking problems down, explaining things clearly, and helping students reach that “ohhh, I get it now” moment.

I aim to create a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without judgement. My goal isn’t just to help students get better grades, but to help them feel more confident and less anxious about maths overall.

I’m organised, reliable, and always prepare carefully for lessons so each session feels focused and useful. I genuinely enjoy seeing students progress and gain confidence over time.

About the lesson

I offer GCSE Maths tutoring designed to build strong understanding, confidence, and exam technique. I achieved an A in A-level Maths and support students by breaking topics down into clear, manageable steps so maths feels less overwhelming and more approachable.

My teaching focuses on understanding why methods work, not just memorising them. I explain concepts in different ways, adapt lessons to each student’s pace, and use exam-style questions to reinforce learning and improve performance.

My approach includes:
- Clear, step-by-step explanations
- Identifying and fixing gaps in understanding
- Guided and independent practice with feedback
- Support with exam technique and problem-solving

Lessons are typically 60 minutes and usually include a short recap, focused teaching on a specific topic, practice questions, and a plan for what to work on next. I can do in-person lessons or online.

Although I am a newer tutor, I am well-prepared, patient, and committed to creating a calm, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

My lessons are suitable for:
- GCSE Maths students (Foundation or Higher)
- Students lacking confidence or feeling anxious about maths
- Those needing targeted topic support or exam preparation

My aim is to help students feel more confident in maths while steadily improving their results.
