About Josh
My sisters have always struggled academically and turned to me for support. My eldest particularly struggled with maths and science, with teachers expecting her to fail her GCSE's in these subjects, with my help she managed to pass them all and get to the college course at Truro that she wanted. While I haven't taught anyone professionally I know that I really enjoy helping others and would like to apply this to tutoring.

From my own education and tutoring my 3 younger sisters I have found that many students learn differently. The key I believe is finding how an individuals learning can be adapted to enjoy the subject, as a student who enjoys something will always learn better. My eldest of my sisters struggled particularly with learning from paper so I would have to use visual techniques such as using apples and oranges to teach her about atoms. The other two learned well from paper but found applying maths, particularly to real life problems was the best way to get them to enjoy the subject and therefore learn better.

Josh helped me a lot when I was studying for my GCSE'S. I struggled with subjects such as Maths and Science, and with Josh's help I was able to attain a Grade C in Maths, and a Grade B in Science. He is very calm and patient, a brilliant tutor.
Josh helped me when I was completing my GCSE's at secondary school! He helped me in all subjects, such as maths, science (physics, biology and chemistry) and English in particular. He explained everything to me over and over until I understood which really helped me. He was very calm too which is nice!
