About Taylor
My name is Taylor and I am a recent graduate. I have my bachelor's of Science in Biology and I minored in Chemistry. I have facilitated workshops through the Scholar Enrichment Program at the University of Houston for three years. This program provides support and assistance to students taking STEM classes that tend to be more difficult. I give the students with worksheets, keys, explanations, and would hold personal office hours for students who needed more individualized help. With that being said, I can provide tutoring services in both a classroom and a personal setting. Given the current predicament, my workshop has shifted to an online format, and I have become proficient at teaching online by using Microsoft Teams as a free online platform.

I enjoy seeing the student's confidence levels rise after being provided with the necessary support and guidance to perform well in a class. In my final semester of college, I was allowed to facilitate a "late-start workshop" at the University of Houston that targeted students who did not perform well on the first exam. By the end of the semester, the students reported overall increased confidence in Calculus and Algebra related topics, and their test scores increased significantly. Stories of academic and personal improvement, like the one previously mentioned, are what drives me to assist students.
