About Elena
Hi! I’m Elena, a recent college graduate with bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Biology. I have been studying Spanish for over 10 years and have developed a strong foundation in Spanish grammar, writing, reading, and conversation. As someone who learned Spanish as a second language, I understand that learning a new language can be challenging, and I know how helpful it can be to have someone patiently work through concepts that don’t immediately make sense. I’m excited to help students feel more confident in their Spanish skills and reach their individual academic and language-learning goals!

My approach to tutoring is centered around each individual student and the areas where they need the most support. As a non-native Spanish speaker who has been studying the language for over 10 years and recently earned my bachelor’s degree in Spanish, I understand firsthand the challenges that can come with learning the language. I believe this gives me a unique perspective as a tutor and allows me to explain difficult concepts in ways that make sense to other Spanish learners, especially those that may come more intuitively to native speakers. Whether you need help with grammar, vocabulary, speaking, writing, or a specific class assignment, I will tailor our sessions to your individual needs and goals. I would love to work with middle school, high school, or college students at a variety of Spanish levels.
