About Emily
I previously tutored middle school students with more of an emphasis on mathematics. These lessons were all individual one on one appointments. During college, I tutored freshmen biology students in group settings typically of five to ten students. I was also in charge of leading various study group sessions for upper-level biology classes.

I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with Minors in Chemistry and History. I have experience in introductory biology, environmental biology, biochemistry, biostatistics, cell biology, genetics, and human anatomy. I use a visual and hands-on approach. I find that by having the student not only able to verbally explain it but draw, label, and explain the concepts in their own words it helps them to retain the information in a way that makes sense to them.
