My teaching method is not exactly giving a precise lesson to the students. My way of tutoring is to have students try to do their math problems on their own, and stop where they are stuck at. Once they are stuck, I will ask the student to look back at their notes or textbook as a reference. If they still don't get it, then I will explain to them the steps. On the other hand, if a student does not understand why their answer is wrong, then I will ask the student to re-do the problem and show me the steps. I tutor students in a way they are learning to think independently instead of relying on the tutor(s) to spoon-feed them the answers.
I have been tutoring students in mathematics for a couple years. As a Math tutor and AVID tutor, I have tutored students individually and as a group. In total, I have tutored approximately 100 students up to today. The result of my students is that they have made improvements in their grades which also increased their GPA.
