My teaching method consists of first discussing the areas that need improvement. Then, developing a few different study techniques and figuring out which one is catered towards the individual's best learning habits. From there, lessons can be approached holistically or specifically dependent upon the student's areas of improvement. I am a fan of hands-on learning when possible. I also like the "teach it to others" approach.
I have worked as a research assistant in a laboratory teaching fellow students many different lab techniques and neuroscience-related material. I have served as academics director within my sorority, helping others achieve their academic goals through tutoring and advice. My teaching direction varies on the student and the course.
I got my B.S. from UNCW in May of 2020 with latin distinction and university honors. I minored in both biology and neuroscience. Overall, I have taught around 25+ college-aged students. Open to all ages! Pursuing medicine in the future, and would love to help others with their basic or advanced biology courses.
