About Joey
As a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Cal Poly, I bring not only a strong academic foundation but also real-world project experience that has shaped my ability to teach with clarity, patience, and purpose. Throughout my time at university, I worked on complex software projects—ranging from frequent itemset mining using Apriori algorithms to developing GPT-integrated applications with real-time context awareness. These experiences honed my technical expertise and also taught me the importance of breaking down advanced concepts into simple, understandable lessons—something I now do for my students. My role as a front-end developer at Cal Poly’s library allowed me to collaborate with academic staff and deliver accessible, brand-aligned content—further demonstrating my ability to meet professional standards and deadlines.
