About Sarah
I'm a student at the University of Oxford, going into my third year of studies in English Language and Literature. Unsurprisingly, I'm a huge fan of anything book-related. I spend most of my time reading, and love to talk books with anyone who will listen. I've been involved with different extracurriculars during my time in education, including creative writing clubs and debate in school, whilst in university I worked with several student publications including The Oxford Blue and The Student Film Journal. I'm currently applying for masters programmes, and my research interests include modern literature, visual culture and aesthetics.

My lessons are for anyone who needs them! I'm sufficiently adaptable to teach those who may be struggling with foundation GCSE literature to those working towards A*s at A-level. Whilst in school I would volunteer my time to help younger and less-able students achieve milestones within their courses, and this progressed to me being the resident proof-reader of personal statements during sixth form - I'm always happy to help! My lessons run from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the availability of my students and their personal preferences. I know that not everybody is able to work productively for an entire hour, so I will do what I can to suit your needs and help keep you productive. I like to stress the importance of individuality in learning. We all learn in different ways - I'd opt for an introductory discussion to hear about your personal preferences, strengths, weaknesses, and what you want to get out of our lessons. I will adapt my teaching accordingly to give you the best experience possible.
