About Hannah
Hannah Hayward was born and raised in the southeastern United States. She began competing and choreographing at the age of 11. She is a former Artists Simply Human Assistant, a YAGP Regional medalist, and a Top 10 winner at The Dance Awards. Hannah made her debut with Complexions Contemporary Ballet Pre-Professional Division in 2017 at the Joyce Theater in NYC, and her screen premiere in "Hi Hello" the film. She is fortunate enough to have been mentored and performed works by Dwight Rhoden, Desmond Richardson, Ohad Naharin, Stacey Tookey, Teddy Forance, Francisco Gella, Yusha-Marie Sorzano, the Barton sisters, Sarah Brinson, Al Blackstone, Max Stone, Greg Dolbashian, Larry Keigwin and many others. In 2016, Hannah moved to New York to pursue her career. She completed a year at PeriDance Capezio Center’s Certificate Program and then went on to dance with and graduate from The Ailey School as part of their illustrious scholarship program under the instruction of Milton Myers, Ana-Maria Forsythe, Tracey Inman, and many more. While dancing, she is completing her B.A. in Philosophy and Psychology at the University of Tennessee and is a member of the NSLS and Sigma Alpha Phi Honor Society and has been named to the Chancellor’s Honor Roll. Hannah most recently performed Alvin Ailey’s “Revelations” in The 95th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and is currently collaborating virtually with choreographers including Jermaine Spivey, Stacey Tookey, Roger Van der Poel, Peter Chu, and Kelby Brown.

I have been teaching dance since I was 11 years old, it is one of my biggest passions. Since the pandemic hit, my focus has mainly shifted to teaching. Some weeks I teach as many as 35 hours over zoom! I teach children ages 3 and up as well as adults. My primary goal is to create an informed dancer who is well-grounded in their technique and artistry.
