About Matthew
**I am not currently accepting students- I'm working 2 jobs at the moment so I'm pretty busy!!
Hi, my name is Matthew, and I'm looking to help you out! I'm a recent graduate of Kelowna Secondary school with a 95% average across all of my classes. I was accepted into the University of Alberta for Biochemistry and received a Gold Standard award for being one of the top students in my future department. During high school, I was a Teacher Assistant for English 10 and Pre-Calculus 12. I also helped many of my friends study for their biology, math, and chemistry tests, and assisted some of my English 10 students in other subject areas. I am known for being friendly and hardworking, and I'm looking forward to helping you with your classes!

I am looking to help some high school students out with their senior math, science, and English classes!
As a tutor...
I will work through example or homework problems with students, step by step, ensuring they understand each step of the process and can apply it to new problems.
I will introduce additional material to help flesh out a student's understanding of the core class concepts.
I will help students understand what test questions may look like, and create a practice test or quiz for us to work through.
Additionally, I will aid students in creating study guides to help them review for tests, especially in biology and chemistry.
A typical lesson plan for me would start with some examples or a short conversation on the subject before delving deeper into the concept and then working on some practice problems until I am sure the student understands what I'm teaching. Then we'd finish off with a discussion of areas of improvement and additions to the student's study guide.
