About Ryan
I am a fully qualified Mathematics teacher with extensive experience teaching and tutoring students of varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs, in mainstream secondary schools. If I were to describe what mathematics means to me, it’s a journey of self-discovery. From being a former D-grade student in the early years of my education to achieving a first-class honours degree in Mathematics, I am living proof that with the right mindset, mathematics can be accessible to everyone. This personal journey has not only shaped my approach to teaching but has also inspired and supported many students throughout my career.

My lessons typically begin by reviewing the student’s prior knowledge, which helps inform the direction of the session. I then introduce the lesson with the question, "What are we learning today, and why is it important?" Following this, I employ the "We, Me, You" approach to learning, which encourages maximum student interaction through guided practice. The lesson concludes with the student completing a few questions to reinforce their understanding, followed by a summary question that aligns with the lesson's learning outcomes.
