About Josef

I am a Finance Systems Analyst at a leading UK insolvency and restructuring firm, currently pursuing my ACCA qualification. I have three years of hands-on experience working in professional finance environments, giving me a practical understanding of accounting that goes beyond textbooks.

Having recently sat my own ACCA exams, I know first-hand what it takes to prepare effectively, manage exam pressure and break down complex topics into something manageable. I bring that same structured, focused approach to every tutoring session.

I am passionate about making accounting accessible. Too many students find the subject intimidating when in reality it is logical, consistent and learnable with the right guidance. My aim is to give every student the clarity and confidence they need to pass their exams and build a genuine understanding of finance.

I am based in Manchester and available for both in-person and online sessions at evenings and weekends, fitting around your schedule.

About the lesson

I am an ACCA part-qualified accountant with four years of experience working as a Finance Systems Analyst. Having recently sat my own professional exams, I understand exactly what students need to succeed — clear explanations, practical examples and exam technique that actually works under pressure.

Who my lessons are for
My tutoring is aimed at AAT Level 2 and Level 3 students, A-level Accounting students, and anyone looking to build a solid understanding of bookkeeping and financial principles. Whether you are just starting out or struggling with a specific topic, I tailor every session to your needs.
How I teach
I focus on understanding over memorisation. Accounting makes sense when you see how everything connects — so I always explain the "why" behind every concept before drilling into the detail. I use real workplace examples from my own experience to make abstract topics practical and memorable.
Each session typically runs for one hour. I begin by reviewing what you found difficult since the last session, work through the topic together, and finish with exam-style practice questions so you leave feeling confident.

What to expect
Sessions are relaxed but focused. I will be honest with you about where your gaps are and give you a clear plan to close them. My goal is for you to walk into your exam feeling prepared, not just familiar with the material.
Available for in-person sessions in Manchester and online.
