About Tom
Recent Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship graduate from Derby. Recently self-employed in music! My core musical services are lessons, gigs and recording.
I first picked up a guitar thanks to my dad buying one during a midlife crisis! I loved it and got my own for my 8th birthday. I had lessons all throughout school and was a member of a variety of youth orchestras and bands. Today, I play in my own bands and have gigging experience at festivals such as YNOT, in pubs, parties, weddings and other corporate events.
I have a real passion for music, education and people.

Dynamic lessons to work with your learning styles and achieve your individual goals within music. Grades can be undertaken but are entirely optional.
I have experience teaching 1-to-1 music lessons and being a classroom assistant within Primary and Secondary Schools. Throughout the last 10 years I have also gained real band-playing experience including festivals, pubs, corporate events and weddings.
I want to give all students the skills needed to be able to learn songs and expand their musical knowledge independently, not only within lessons.
On top of practical musical ability, music provides a variety of other skills that you pick up subconsciously along the way. Co-ordination, maths, social skills, reading comprehension and problem solving just to name a few!
20-45 minute lessons depending on age and preference.
