About SAMUEL
I graduated as an Economist, have worked in the public sector and as a consultant for the World Bank, UNDP and research institutes. Until 2022 I wrote a biweekly column in different newspapers in Guatemala and online platforms in Canada and worldwide audiences. I created the short course "Economics for non-Economists" which has been a success, particularly in Guatemala. Some of my publications focus on Poverty and Inequality. However, I co-founded the Entrepreneurship program at the Rafael Landivar University in Guatemala.

Understanding is what learning is about. I'll make sure that you will understand the concepts and not memorize them. A great teacher does not teach, but instead makes sure that their students learn. I will use simulations online, practical examples and real-life situations to make sure that the concepts, theories and economic models are well understood. My courses are mainly for post-secondary students, I.B. students and University entry-level students. I am a columnist of Political Economy and Economics, business and development themes. I've done research about poverty, inequality and have delivered short courses about Economics for non-Economists in English and Spanish Languages.
