About Lisa
Lisa has been teaching professionally since 2015. She has taught private and group music classes in St. George, Utah and Las Vegas, Nevada for 10 years. Lisa has also toured nationally as a singer songwriter, performing in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Café, the Palms and more.
Lisa's teaching style focuses on fundamentals and music theory as well as encouraging the student to play music they love and know well, which has shown to increase the students focus and dedication practicing on their own. She also prioritizes using each student's unique learning style to promote the best possible learning environment for them as an individual. Her goal is to see each student excited to practice, curious and determined to learn more. Lisa achieves this by demonstrating music theory concepts in an easy, fun, and interactive way.

About the lesson

Students of every level and ability will see their progress after their very first lesson. A typical lesson would start with a short warmup, review of the song we are working on, introduction to new music theory material with hands on practice, and then if the student is ready, working on new material. I help my students to read music, but also to talk about music as a pro musician would, in terms of chords and chord progression and music theory that will help them understand the greater puzzle of music, rather than just memorizing one piece at a time.
