About Noah
I’m a dedicated voice teacher with over 9 years of experience helping singers grow both technically and artistically. My teaching is rooted in a deep understanding of the voice as a physical, emotional, and creative instrument. I work with a wide range of students—from complete beginners to seasoned performers—guiding each individual through customized lessons that focus on healthy technique, expressive interpretation, and confident performance. In every session, we work on vocal fundamentals like breath coordination, tone consistency, resonance balance, pitch accuracy, and smooth register transitions. But I go beyond the basics to help singers truly inhabit their music. We explore emotional intent, character development, vocal phrasing, and storytelling—essential skills for anyone who wants to connect deeply with their audience. I regularly incorporate piano accompaniment, recording tools, and ear training into lessons, so students can hear and track their own progress over time. We also focus on real-world application: audition prep, recital readiness, studio skills, and how to maintain vocal health under pressure. My studio welcomes a range of genres, from pop, R&B, indie and folk to musical theater and classical crossover. For singers who write or perform original material, I provide support in shaping songs, refining delivery, and building stage confidence. Many of my students have gone on to star in school productions, compete at regional events, join vocal ensembles, or release music on digital platforms. But whether your goal is professional performance or personal growth, I aim to provide a space where your voice can thrive, your artistry can evolve, and your love of music can grow.

Singing, at its best, is a full-body, full-soul experience—one that draws equally from technical command, emotional courage, cultural literacy, and personal voice. My pedagogy is guided by the principles of Physical Foundation, Emotional Resonance, Global Curiosity, and Independent Artistry. Building a strong physical foundation means developing posture, breath flow, muscle coordination, and awareness of vocal function. I use science-informed techniques and kinesthetic learning tools to help students understand how their body produces sound and how to release patterns that hinder ease and expressivity. Emotional resonance is where the technical and artistic intersect. I help students move beyond just “singing the notes” by connecting with the text, mood, and dramatic arc of their songs. We practice expressive techniques like shading, diction choices, tempo flexibility, and body gesture to build interpretations that feel honest and powerful. Global curiosity informs our repertoire and musical discussions. I intentionally bring in music from across continents, languages, and time periods to expose students to the immense variety of vocal expression. From Indian raga to French chanson, Mexican bolero to modern singer-songwriter forms, each lesson becomes an opportunity to explore and appreciate different musical values and aesthetics. I aim to create a space where students can approach all music with open minds and hearts. Independent artistry is the long-term outcome. My teaching includes how to craft a personal warm-up, set and adapt goals, prepare for performances, and develop one’s own creative voice. I encourage journaling, reflection, recording analysis, and even original songwriting to deepen the student’s connection to their voice. My goal is not just to develop good singers, but empowered artists who know how to listen to themselves—onstage, in the studio, or anywhere their voice is called upon.
