About Penny
"My hands have held a violin since I was 14. Teaching 161 students has taught me to be direct about technical obstacles. I hold a BA Music from Yale University which informs my classical repertoire focus.

"Precision starts with a diagnostic assessment before we ever set a practice plan. You must understand how your own left hand agility and intonation habits currently function. My 13 years of experience means I spot the micro-tensions that hinder your vibrato or spiccato bowing before you even notice them.
This is how we build a sustainable, injury-free technique for intermediate learners. I personally prefer a systematic approach to reading music and mastering scales. Let me know which concertos or études you find most rewarding to study."
