About Kayla
During my time in nursing school, I worked as a lead for our Science Learning Circles at the University of Michigan. Here, I held bi-weekly sessions for the undergraduate nursing students in their primary science courses by creating review slides and practice questions, leading reviews over course material, answering pertinent questions, and providing guidance related to the nursing curriculum. I held this position over 3 years and this is where I found my spark for teaching and helping others learn! Now, as a registered nurse, I have a new lens where I understand the translation from school to practice, which is meaningful for undergraduate students to understand the "why" behind course material.

My tutoring method is tailored to the student's unique style of learning, whether that be through visualization, hearing, etc. I will use the student's textbooks/course material to create my lesson plan to ensure it is tailored to what they are learning and relevant to the information they need to know. These lessons are geared for college students. I have proficient knowledge in pathophysiology, medical surgical nursing, and health assessment.
