Super Tutor

James is one of our best Psychology tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About James

Hi! My name is James, and I’m a psychologist and 3rd-year combined MPsych/PhD candidate. I’m currently working on a project that explores the long-term health outcomes of individuals with schizophrenia in the forensic system.

I have a strong academic background from highly-ranked Australian universities, including Monash University and UNSW. I completed my psychology honors with first-class honors at Monash and am now nearing the completion of my Master of Psychology at UNSW. I have also authored multiple peer-reviewed papers, further demonstrating my familiarity with the academic landscape. These experiences have given me a solid foundation and understanding of how to excel in the university environment and consistently achieve high academic results.

About the lesson

Services I offer:

A) Pre-submission reviews
I can provide feedback for your assessments in psychology. Having been in your position, I can give detailed feedback and suggestions to improve the clarity, flow, and cohesiveness of your work, to help you reach your academic goals. I have also been teaching and marking undergraduate psychology courses for several years now, so I would give feedback as if I was marking it against the rubric. This is mostly done via written feedback, but I'm also happy to talk through the comments via a zoom call if needed.

B) Topic-focused one-on-one tutoring
I can also provide 1:1 tutoring on psychology-related concepts, frameworks, and statistics for anyone who's struggling with a particular topic area. I have experience working with SPSS, Jamovi, and R.

Disclaimers:
Most of my last-minute requests come in around end-of-term, so I recommend reaching out earlier if you can.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with James.

James's response
Melissa has a pleasure to work with over the last few sessions focusing on stats. Despite how complex learning stats and statistical software can be, Melissa is always open to learning and even repeating the same steps to get better at things. Great student overall

James is honestly one of the best tutors I’ve ever had. He really knows his stuff and breaks down complex ideas in a way that’s super easy to get. What I love most is how he creates a chill atmosphere where asking questions feels totally normal—never once did I feel silly for wanting to know more. This made learning so much easier for me.

If you’re looking to boost your knowledge in psychology, I can’t recommend James enough!
