About Tillie

Teaching Spanish has been my passion for the past 9 years. During this time, I have worked with high school and college students, helping them reach their language goals through engaging and personalized lessons. I believe every learner deserves individual attention because every student has different strengths, interests, and ways of learning. My teaching style is flexible, supportive, and always focused on student success.

My classes cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading, writing, and conversational Spanish. I explain concepts clearly using simple English, practical examples, and interactive learning activities that encourage active participation. Students learn not only the rules of the language but also how to communicate naturally and confidently.

A unique part of my teaching is my focus on confidence building. I create a positive classroom environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and expressing themselves. Regular assessments and personalized feedback help students monitor their progress while staying motivated throughout the learning process.

I also introduce students to the traditions, customs, festivals, and everyday life of Spanish-speaking countries. This cultural understanding helps learners appreciate the language while developing practical communication skills. My commitment to personalized learning allows me to support students preparing for examinations, college studies, travel, or future careers with dedication and enthusiasm.

About the lesson

I teach Spanish using a methodology that emphasizes motivation, communication, creativity, and proper time management. Motivation is key; I create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel confident and engaged.

Communication is central; I help students develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through interactive exercises, role-plays, and real-life practice. Creativity is an important part of my approach—I use storytelling, games, role-plays, and visual aids to make lessons fun, interactive, and memorable.

Time management ensures lessons are structured and productive, covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation practice efficiently. I also guide learners on organizing their study and practice outside class. Along with Spanish, I can teach related subjects such as grammar, and pronunciation.
