About Sophie
With 8 years of experience teaching flute, I am committed to helping students enjoy learning music while achieving their personal goals. I teach school and college students and believe that every learner can succeed with proper guidance and regular practice.
My lessons focus on developing strong fundamentals, including breathing, posture, rhythm, finger techniques, scales, and tone production. As students progress, I help them build musical expression and stage confidence.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have proudly watched many students perform successfully and grow into confident musicians. In addition to flute, I teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and beginner music education.
I look forward to helping every student build lasting musical skills and a lifelong love for music.

My teaching methodology is based on the belief that every student can learn the flute with patience, practice, and proper guidance. I use Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to create a learning environment where students feel confident, respected, and inspired.
Before starting lessons, I understand each student's goals, musical interests, and current skill level. This allows me to prepare lessons that match their learning style. Beginners focus on breathing techniques, posture, finger placement, note reading, rhythm, and tone production. As students progress, they learn scales, articulation, dynamics, ornamentation, musical expression, improvisation, and performance techniques.
Motivation is part of every lesson. I encourage students with positive feedback and achievable goals that help them stay interested in regular practice. Communication is always open, and I explain every concept in simple English using demonstrations and practical exercises. Students are welcome to ask questions and learn at their own pace.
Integrity guides my teaching through honesty, patience, fairness, and professionalism. I create a comfortable classroom where students feel safe to make mistakes and improve. Creativity makes lessons enjoyable through familiar songs, classical melodies, breathing exercises, rhythm games, ear training, duet practice, and simple improvisation activities.
Besides flute, I also teach music theory, sight reading, ear training, rhythm development, recorder, beginner keyboard, performance preparation, and music appreciation. My goal is to help students become confident, expressive, and disciplined musicians who enjoy learning music for many years.
