About Gemma
I'm a screenwriter, represented by Casarotto Ramsay & Associates, as well as a lecturer, who's currently a screenwriting Module Leader at Central Film School, having also taught at MetFilm School and Regent's University. I, myself, graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, with a First Class Honours Degree and a specialism in Screenwriting in 2018. Along side my writing and teaching, I'm also studying for an MA in Film Studies. I have been longlisted and shortlisted for several screenwriting competitions and was one of the recipients of the Neal Street Screenwriting Bursary in 2021.

My lessons are centred around whatever you're struggling with. Whether that's the basics of screenwriting and taking the scribbles of an idea to a first draft, getting unstuck in the outlining process, or fixing up the problems in that tough second draft.
I give in-depth feedback and our lessons will be discussion based, working out those issues and ending on an aim for either our next meeting or your solo next steps.
Shorts, TV, or feature length films - I can take you through the steps for whatever you've got in mind. If you're applying for a Master's in screenwriting or a big competition, I'm here for that too. Or, if you're trying to figure out if that idea in your notes app can actually be turned into a screenplay, let's talk about it.
Lessons are up to 60 minutes, in-person or online, and flexible including weekends. It's tailored to you, so you get on the right track with your writing, as well as your career.
