About Amy
I'm Amy, and I look forward to working with you! I'm passionate about teaching and social studies. As someone with a learning disability, I experienced first hand the difficulties of learning in school and not being able to 'pick up' material shown in class. Because of this, I've always taught my students with numerous approaches and angles to ensure their comprehension and ability to build on said knowledge. History, social studies, and politics can be fun and engaging, and I consider it my responsibility to make learning fun and not a chore.

I am a research associate with the Women's UN Report Network focusing on Irish and EU current events. I have a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in political science and have tutored undergraduate students on a variety of subjects within international affairs including peace and conflict, world history, and research. I have also taught English as a foreign language with a focus on writing and reading comprehension. My lessons are best for high school/secondary school children and undergraduate students and can be between 30 minutes to an hour depending on a student's level and availability.
