About Sébastien
I am a research scientist in cancer biology with more than 13 years of research experience in embryology, molecular biology, and genomics, using both experimental and computational approaches. I am also passionate about teaching and love to help others learn about biology, from the basics to understanding experiments and analyzing data.
My previous teaching experiences include mentoring middle-school students for science fair projects in West Philadelphia, teaching biology to undergraduate students at the University of Pennsylvania, designing a biology course for the University of the People, facilitating learning circles with Peer to Peer University, and teaching data science workshops with Data Carpentry.
Through these various experiences, I have learned to adapt my teaching to diverse audiences while creating a welcoming environment encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and problem solving.

Lessons may be a blend of questions and answers, discussions around purposefully selected documents, custom exercises, and live coding (if you are interested in data science).
