About William
I graduated from the University Paris-Dauphine where I received my bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 2017 and then I applied to the Master of Financial Engineering at UC Berkeley, from which I graduated in March 2021.
Throughout my studies, I received both a very extensive and complete training in Mathematics, Probability, Statistics, Calculus, Algebra, and scientific programming (Python, C++), and I ended up valedictorian multiple times. When I got admitted to UC Berkeley, I was also given the opportunity to enroll as a GSI in Statistics and assess the mathematical background of students with multiple bachelor's and master's degrees with various backgrounds in Electrical Engineering, Finance, and other STEM majors. I also have a solid experience in private tutoring in France where I mentored and helped 10 students to pass successfully their exams in Calculus and Algebra.

For all my lessons I will bring the material that covers the theory along with some practical exercises, and a complete methodology for dealing with a wide range of problem sets that the student might be given during new assignments or exams. I always start a lesson by making sure the diverse notions and fundamental concepts are understood and known. If I feel a particular weakness, I will give the student alternative ways of thinking and/or visualizing the underlying concepts that he might encounter during lectures and provide a more intuitive view of complex notions with explicit examples that the student can refer to.
I will also try to take the last minutes of the lessons to assess the progress made by the student, and pinpoint some improvement areas that deserve more attention for the next lesson.

So… I had a hard time finding myself a good tutor. William was very helpful and trustworthy, and he was willing to spend extra time to help me out with my math without extra charge. Also, the way he explained things very clearly and in detail.
Thanks again to William.View more recommendations
