About Sophia
I’m a chess tutor with over 7+ years of experience teaching thoughtful and motivated players. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in strategic studies with a focus on chess history. Chess has always been a creative challenge for me. My teaching approach centers on understanding positions and making strong plans. We work on openings, middlegame structures, and technical endgames. Calculation is trained carefully. Intuition is developed through patterns. I believe in holistic growth through game analysis, tactics, and strategic awareness. Students also improve visualization and time control. Learning is structured but flexible. I’ve helped players grow from Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate levels. I also support professional and expert players refining their approach. Lessons are demanding yet encouraging. Begin your journey into confident and expressive chess with me.

I teach chess with a focus on structure, creativity, and depth. My lessons emphasize understanding over quick results. Classical games provide a strong foundation. Openings are taught through plans and themes. Middlegames are explored with strategic intent. Endgames build confidence and precision. Historical awareness strengthens decision-making. Positional judgment is always developed. Calculation is practiced at a steady pace. I work closely with students who enjoy thoughtful creation or quiet focus. Support is patient and detailed. Every lesson refines understanding. Together, we bring chess positions to life through insight.
