About Dr Tia
I believe that anyone can learn to love the art of the written word. Communication with the ability to express oneself is the key to moving into the workforce. To be educated infers that we need to be fluid in writing, reading and the understanding of language. Not everyone will love reading as much as I do, but I do believe that to understand literature is to become engaged in critical thought. I have been an associate professor for over 20 years. I still love to teach even though I have retired. I would sincerely love to work with you.

My approach to teaching has always been based clear and concise communication. Every student is different and being flexible is a mean to adjust my teaching style to what the student needs. Learning is collaborative which makes a strong tutor-student partnership. These strategies make me an excellent tutor. I am trained in junior and senior English, College English, Composition, Literature and Women and Gender Studies.
