About Jonathan
I recently retired in June of 2026. I taught secondary math for 25 years. I mainly taught calculus and precalculus, but I also taught basically every high school math course at one time or another. I believe confidence and motivation play just as big a role as intelligence, so there is always an effort to increase those dynamics.

My approach is trying to build a conceptual foundation first versus just showing steps and tricks. Once the conceptual foundation is established, we will introduce the "main" way to do the problem. If that way is not resonating, we then show alternative methods when available.
