About Ted
I have taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL/ESL) at college/university level and EFL/ESL teacher training for many years in Korea, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Mexico.
My qualifications include a USA Master's Degree in Education (M.Ed.) and a UK Post Graduate Certificate in English with TEFL specialization (PGCE - TEFL). Also a USA Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA).
I've lived and worked abroad since 1989. I love teaching and helping students meet their goals. I admire the hard work and determination that students put into learning languages and I want to help make it easier and more enjoyable and more successful.

As an experienced EFL/ESL teacher and teacher trainer I know that the best teaching methods are the ones that help the student achieve their goals, keeps them engaged in their studies and finds them a sense of real accomplishment. So... that means there is not one particular method that works for every student or for every subject area. My goal is to find our what YOUR goals are. Then WE decide on how to best get you there. My preference is an active and fun interaction, but sometimes we may need some quiet concentration to be sure we understand a difficult concept. We can usually break difficult ideas down in to simple steps to make them easier to learn and easier to remember.
