With proficiency, dedication and creativity, a typical tutoring session will motivate and inspire each individual to reach their fullest potential, adapting lessons to meet the desired needs, followed with immediate feedback. I am patient, knowledgeable and skillful. I offer private 1 on 1 or group sessions (with reduced rates), and either on-line or in person. My website provides free worksheets and sample video lessons to view my style of teaching. I deliver full course content, assistance with class lessons, and remedial help to address gaps in learning.

Perfect! Understanding, calmness, simplifying
Perfect! My daughter could not have succeeded in her math and chemistry 11 without the supportive and very knowledgeable hand of Ken. Ken explains concepts in many different ways and was easily able to adapt to my daughter’s learning style. The result of Ken’s commitment to my daughter was her passing both courses, realizing that she CAN do math and science and now registering for grade 12 math classes. Do not hesitate in reaching out to this fabulous teacher for help!

Ken was recommended to me by three of his previous high school students, all claiming that he was the best math and chemistry teacher they ever had. This has proven to hold true. Ken is able to make a true connection with his students. He tutors with skill, teaching and explaining the lesson in a clear manner that ensures a deep understanding and a mastery of the material. His dedication is unparalleled and students feel confident in their knowledge and their ability after working with Ken.
Ken is a wonderful teacher and tutor who cares about his students' education. He encorporatee a variety of teaching methods to help each student learn in their own way. Ken is very kind and patient and knows how to explain material to help students reach their full potential.
I have worked with Ken Doran for most of my teaching career as a public school educator. I had the pleasure, as Ken's colleague and program leader, of observing the calming effect Ken had on anxious math students over most of two decades. Ken's organized, funny and invariably kind approach helps to make the challenging accessible, and the previously obtuse, clear and relevant. (He'd probably make a triangle joke about obtuse too!). I have always described Mr. Doran as "the math teacher I wish I had had in high school." It isn't an exaggeration to say that when students expecting to find that Ken wouldn't be their teacher, I would have a revolt on my hands. You will be lucky to work with Ken - but don't trust me, try for yourself.
