About Karthik Co&Co
Hi Everyone, I am Mr. Rajkumar, a retired Principal Scientist & Head of Division at Plant Systematics & Evolutionary Science Division of Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden & Research Institute (JNTBGRI) in Kerala. Using my 35+ years of experience in research as well as mentoring my Pg & Ug students, I am here on the online platform to help you guys to achieve something you wanted to become and also to take you all through the fascinating world of plant science. Here's altogether, a short summary of me and my achievements: Education: M.Sc. Botany, Ph.D. in Botany from the University of Kerala. Expertise: Angiosperm taxonomy, evolutionary systematics (especially Annonaceae), herbarium management, conservation of endemic and threatened flora. Experience: Over 30 years of research, leading and co-leading 14 externally funded projects focused on plant diversity and conservation. Publications: Authored ~80 scientific papers, described several new plant species, and co-authored the book The Flowering Plants of Kerala – A Handbook (JNTBGRI, 2006). Mentorship: Guided postgraduate and doctoral students at University of Kerala and University of Calicut; life member of eight professional societies and Vice President of the Kerala chapter of the Society of Ethnobotanists.
