About Ethan
Fluency feels different once you stop translating in your head. I have taught 369 students the nuances of Latin American and Castilian variants. Grammar and reading comprehension form the backbone of our time together. We will explore travel Spanish or prepare for the DELE exam through structured, analytical practice.

Working with absolute beginners, busy professionals, and teenagers requires a specific kind of patience. The smell of old library books always brings me back to my days in the department chair office.
I hold an MA in Hispanic Studies with a French minor from Chicago. My instruction style leans on 5 years of classroom experience and a lifetime of linguistic curiosity. My favorite students are those who already speak 2 languages and are working on a 3rd. I strive to make the mechanics of Spanish feel as natural as breathing.
