About Kenneth
Over a 40 yr career as a teacher/professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch, I have trained 14 Ph.D., 2 M.S. and 12 undergraduate students. With graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, I published 17 book chapters and 161 scientific papers in the medical literature. I have taught various aspects of fundamental pharmacology, toxicology, and neurochemistry to undergraduate nursing, medical, and postgraduate students. I have given 55 invited lectures at national meetings and universities, including seven overseas. I am a member of six national or international professional societies. I am a member of Phi Kappa Phi, the Committee on Problems of Drug Dependence and several other professional societies, as well as a member of several editorial boards and grant review panels. Finally, I coached Little League baseball and soccer, as well as seventh grade football while teaching 9th grade physical science for two years before going to graduate school.
