Retired Northwestern graduate and current tutor enthusiastic about teaching algebra and trigonometry to middle school and high school students.

Anthony volunteers as a literacy tutor in Oakton College's adult Literacy program. I organize the class and support Anthony and other volunteers. Anthony is a very reliable and organized volunteer, who works well with the students and the other volunteers. He asks for support when needed, and carefully considers my recommendations. He offers ideas to his fellow volunteers when he comes upon effective teaching materials or techniques. He spends time outside class considering which materials and approaches would be most helpful to his students.
